Being a volunteer based organization, Love For Humanity guarantees that the money you donate goes directly to help people in need. You may choose to do a one time donation or set up recurring donations by using the donate button below. You also have the option to allocate your online donation to a specific program or to wherever it is most needed. See more donation options at the bottom of this page.

OUR PROGRAMS

Through this program we give each child a backpack on Friday afternoons filled with enough pre-packaged food to last the weekend. These children, who are in poverty, get free/supplemental food from the school during school days only, and end up starving during the weekend. They come back to school hungry on Monday morning, not ready for school and this makes them less successful at school. Due to the Pandemic, the Food Backpack Program was modified to include many additional food items such as potatoes, onions, celery and such to help feed the entire family.

Many families are faced with the choice of paying the bills or buying food and many of them choose to go without food. That affects children and puts families at risk of being separated- the children being taken away due to food insecurity. We partner with transitional homes, food pantries and family preservation organizations to help families have enough food for the month and not having to decide between food or shelter and utilities.

Pre-packaged meals, fruit, bottled water, toiletries, socks and other essentials are being provided to homeless people on the streets, in shelters, transitional houses, and hospitals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. We also provide socks to the homeless during the winter months.

This program provides pouches full of essential school supplies to children who are not able to afford them. During the pandemic we increased the amount of supplies provided since children were learning at home.

This scholarship program started by funding technical education and new job skills to support families after a job loss or professional crisis. We recently expanded it to provide scholarships to college students in danger of dropping out of school caused by factors outside of the student’s control such as losing the primary household provider, family’s financial challenges, etc.

Through this program we provide Thanksgiving staple foods as well as Turkeys to families in need. Without our support these families would go without celebrating Thanksgiving. Help us spread the joy of a family meal!
